The University of Minnesota's Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory serves as a training ground for orthopaedic sports medicine doctors and others to study and improve understanding of conditions affecting muscles and joints. It also serves as a site for orthopaedic doctors to improve surgical skills by practicing on cadaver specimens and models, and by observing demonstrations using the latest medical technology.
A partnership of the University of Minnesota's Academic Health Center and the University of Minnesota Medical Center-Fairview, the lab features video arthroscopes, motion analysis and kinematics equipment and a force plate.
